Introductory Sessions
Some people like to try things out before deciding whether it's for them. If you'd like to experience the flavour of Nonviolent Communication to see if you'd like to learn more, come along to one of our introductory sessions. These sessions will focus on one aspect of NVC and how it might contribute to making life more wonderful.
Sessions last 2 hours and take place at the Friends Meeting House in Lancaster from 7.30pm - 9.30pm. If you would like to come to an Introductory Session please contact me so I can be sure that we have a large enough room. We request a donation of £5-£10 towards costs for room hire, printing and travel

March 25th - How to Never Hear Criticism Ever Again
Most of us get criticised, even if it is in criticising ourselves. Imagine learning a way to never hear criticism ever again! To free yourself of being blamed, judged, or having the finger pointed at you.
Instead you might hear something different. You might hear what is really going on for the speaker and perhaps understand where they are coming from. And instead of experiencing the criticsm as an attack, and wanting to fight back or get as far away as possible, you might be open to the possibility of a dialogue
Come along to find out how stop hearing criticism and experience a way of living where you never have to hear criticism ever again.

April 22nd - The Surprising Purpose of Anger
What anger has a purpose? Sometimes anger is seen as the bad guy of emotions - the one we shouldn't have and definitely shouldn't express. I like to see anger differently and believe that feelings of anger are communicating messages about our well-being that it is really important to listen to and understand. By doing this I can learn things about myself that can help me make choices that help me thrive

May 20th - Befriending Your Inner Critic
Would you believe me if I told you that your inner critic only has your highest good in mind when he or she is prodding and poking and judging and blaming? Would you like to learn how to understand what your inner critic is really trying to say to you? To hear it as supportive messages of care for you that could actually help you make life-serving choices? Imagine what a difference it would make to your life to hear supportive and caring messages instead of blame and judgement. We will use self-empathy to learn how to translate the critical messages and hear the loving intention behind them.

June 17th - How to Ask for What You Want
Is there something you'd like to ask for but are not sure how? Or maybe you doubt you'll get a yes and that stops you from asking at all? Or maybe you are not even sure what it is you want?
I've learned that people love to contribute to each other, and making clear requests makes this easy for them to do.
Using Nonviolent Communication we will explore how to get really clear about asking in a way that seeks to create connection in the asking. Chances are you are more likely to hear yes.... and if the answer is no it's not the end of the conversation, it's a opportunity to connect.
